Munaf Shamji, M.D., FACC
Munaf Shamji, MD, FACC is an interventional cardiologist who attended UCLA and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy for his undergraduate studies and went on to Medical School at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He then did his residency in Internal Medicine and Cardiology fellowship at the UCLA - Olive View - West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. He completed an interventional cardiology fellowship in coronary as well as peripheral vascular disease at Harbor UCLA - Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles before joining the San Fernando Valley Medical Community.
Dr. Shamji has been in private practice since 1998 initially with a subspecialty group and then in solo practice. The Heart Medical Group was formed in 2007 with the addition Dr. Kupferwasser to serve a greater population of our community. Over the past years Dr. Shamji carried multiple leadership responsibilities including Directorships of the cardiovascular laboratory in various hospitals and serving on the Medical Executive Committee in Valley Presbyterian hospital.
